3.A dog named Christmas

One of my favourites and an adorable entry in the Christmas movies with dogs is the classic story – A dog named Christmas.

The movie tells the story of a family and their developmentally challenged son who develops a special bond with a Labrador who they foster for the holidays. The boy then encourages people of his town for more dog adoptions.

4.Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure

Beethoven is a charming and beloved St. Bernard who must save Christmas. In this adventurous story, Beethoven must rescue an elf who makes a crash landing in the city, help him get back Santa’s magic toy bag from a gang of greedy thieves, and to give back the sleigh to its real owner.

I know that is quite a lot of pressure for a pooch, but after watching Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure perhaps your dog will appreciate their drama-free and blessed life after snuggling up with you for this action-packed movie.

IMDB Rating – 4.4/10

5.The Christmas Shepherd

It’s one of Hallmark’s dog-centered pieces that features a German Shepherd named Buddy. Sally is a widow, and after her husband dies, she is left with just Buddy, his German Shepherd.

A severe storm which makes Buddy run off afraid will make you hug your doggo tight and soon you two will be engrossed in a series of events that are sure to unite Buddy and Sally, but there’s more.

Watch the movie to know the beautiful ending!

6.How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

This is my all-time favourite of Christmas movies with dogs.  The movie features a green, revenge-seeking Grinch who plans to ruin Christmas for all the citizens of a town, but Max, the Grinch’s dog, the unsung hero of this film gives the movie a happy ending.

Not only does he work hard to please his grumpy guardian, the Grinch, but he also manages to have his heart changed in the generous holiday spirit.

IMDB Rating – 6.2/10

7.Up on the Woof top

If you have kids at home, Up on the Woof top is going to make a perfect watch while the kiddos snuggle with their furry friends.

Toby, a smaller than average dog, is in the team of Santa’s helping hands of elves. He dreams of leading Santa’s sleigh someday. One night, after sneaking on to Santa’s sleigh, he gets accidentally left behind and finds himself with two kids.

Watch this movie to find out if Toby’s makes his way back to the North Pole or not.

Released this year in November 2021, Pups Alone is a doggy style film of the famous movie – Home Alone. The movie features a simple plot with whispering dogs that live with their hoomans in a neighbourhood.

While their masters are away on a trip, two clumsy thieves try to steal some latest inventions from a house in the neighbourhood.

Using these inventions, the dogs will set up a house of horrors for the thieves, and they will entertain you with plenty of slapstick humour and emotional moments.

Not a complete Christmas based movie, but it is a highly recommended holiday movie for an entire dog-lover family!

10. Santa Buddies

Santa Buddies is the flavour for old Christmas classics and it hits the mark when it comes to Christmas movies with dogs.

It is an entertaining family film and the fourth installment in the Air Bud series. The talking Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, also known as the Great Pyrenees dogs are fun to watch and very adorable.

The Disney fantasy begins with the Christmas Icicle melting at the North Pole because people do not believe in Christmas anymore. This creates all sorts of problems and the chaos begins for Santa and his buddies, the pups.

Will the pups save the Christmas Icicle? How will they make sure Christmas goes off without a hitch?

Well, if you believe in the magic of Christmas, this one’s certainly for you.
