Page-16 > Love is a four-legged word

Dear diary,

I’ve got some good news for you. Today I stood on all my four legs after 11 days of my fall from the terrace.

My right hind leg is in a splint after it got fractured on 21st August.

Since that day, Mama carries me from my bed to the backyard, terrace, play area, garden, big mama’s room, and everywhere my nose points to go.

Mama makes sure I don’t walk much these days, as I am only using my 3 legs to hop from here to there. She makes me rest as much as I can so that my greenstick fracture can heal properly.

I was on complete bed rest for a week, and 2 days back, I started walking on my own from one room to the other.

All these days I could stand on all my legs except for the one that is injured.

When I woke up this morning, I kissed mama as usual, and flapped my ears.

Suddenly, I put my fractured leg down and switched my weight on it to pick my left hind leg to scratch my ears.

Mama looked at me in awe and kissed me on my nose. She called me a good girl and kissed me again.

It happened for only 3 seconds, but it boosted me a lot and made mama so happy. Love is truly a four-legged word.

This is baby Hyena signing-off in excitement to know everyone’s prayers and best wishes seem to be working. Woohoo!

See you tomorrow again! Bye-bye! 🐾
